Chattanooga Celtic Connection operates as a fiscally sponsored project of the Arts & Business Council of Greater Nashville (ABC).

Fiscal sponsorship allows Chattanooga Celtic Connection to receive charitable contributions through an established nonprofit organization while we focus on developing cultural programming in Chattanooga.

Donations designated for Chattanooga Celtic Connection are received and held by the Arts & Business Council of Greater Nashville for the benefit of our project.

Those funds are used to support Chattanooga Celtic Connection programs and activities, including artist fees, concerts, educational programs, workshops, community events, venue and production expenses, outreach, and other costs directly related to our mission.

ABC Nashville retains a 7.5% fiscal sponsorship fee from funds received on behalf of Chattanooga Celtic Connection.

This fee supports the administrative and financial services that make fiscal sponsorship possible, including receiving and administering charitable funds.

The remaining funds are available to support Chattanooga Celtic Connection's approved charitable activities.

Charitable contributions made to Chattanooga Celtic Connection through our fiscal sponsor are received by the Arts & Business Council of Greater Nashville, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Donors should retain their donation receipt for their records. Individual tax circumstances vary, so donors should consult their tax adviser regarding deductibility.

Yes. Donations are processed through our fiscal sponsor, and donors receive documentation of their contribution.

For qualifying contributions, ABC Nashville provides the appropriate charitable acknowledgment for tax purposes.

Funds donated for Chattanooga Celtic Connection are administered by the Arts & Business Council of Greater Nashville under our fiscal sponsorship agreement.

Supporting artists is an important part of our mission. Donations may help pay musicians, performers, educators, speakers and other cultural practitioners fairly for their professional work.

Funds may also support travel, lodging, venues, production, educational materials and other expenses necessary to bring cultural programming to Chattanooga.

Yes. Running responsible cultural programming involves costs beyond what happens onstage.

Funds may support reasonable project expenses such as insurance, marketing, website and communications costs, equipment, supplies, professional services and other administrative needs directly related to Chattanooga Celtic Connection's work.

When a designated giving opportunity is available, we will clearly identify it.

Because charitable programs and circumstances can change, Chattanooga Celtic Connection and its fiscal sponsor must retain appropriate discretion over the use of charitable funds while honoring donor intent to the extent permitted under the fiscal sponsorship agreement and applicable law.

Funds do not need to be spent simply because they have been received.

Available project funds may be held through our fiscal sponsor for future Chattanooga Celtic Connection programming and expenses. This allows us to plan responsibly, commit to future artists and programs, and build sustainable cultural programming rather than spending contributions simply to exhaust them.

An individual event can bring in more revenue than it costs to produce.

Any surplus generated by Chattanooga Celtic Connection programming remains dedicated to the project's charitable purposes and can help support future concerts, educational programs, community activities and organizational expenses.

It is not distributed to individuals as profit.

We are committed to being transparent about how community support is used.
